Job Purpose

Responsible for operating computer, computer-related hardware, and other operations area equipment. Performs support activities in computer operations. Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle, design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring and product evaluation. Has a solid understanding of systems analysis, design, development, and quality assurance and integration methodologies. 

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls a computer console to process and complete jobs.
• Investigates error conditions in computer processing, equipment malfunction and/or network (on-line) performance to determine and/or apply the required corrective procedure or action.
• Participates in project meetings with other technical staff, business owners and subject matter experts
• Reviews test results and provides feedback and direction
• May serve as technical or project lead
• May provide, or guide provision of technical support to applications currently in production
• May mentor or guide work of less experienced staff
• Performs other related duties as assigned 

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• Experience working with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, CICS, JCL
• Experience with TSO, ISPF, and, SDSF
• Working knowledge of a variety of Utilities such as DCAMS, IEBGENER, SORT (DFSORT or SYNCSORT), FILE-AID, ADRDSSU, Abend-Aid, NDM, CA-VIEW (SAR), Strobe, PKWARE (zip)
• Must have previous experience controlling processing through central console
• Experience working with VSAM files
• Experience working with GDG files
• Ability to code ad hoc JCL/Utility functions
• JCL restart and Abend resolution experience
• Experience in Rexx
• Experience using Service-Now (SNOW)
• Experience supporting applications
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to develop partnership-oriented relationships with business executives and functional leaders, especially as it relates to operations and technology
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with focus on timeliness, documentation, and communications with peers and business users alike
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels within ICE or outside the organization (executives, regulators, clients, etc.)
• Results oriented, business focused, and successful at interfacing across multiple organizational units

Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am ET Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday.
