We are seeking a dynamic Precision Diagnostics Patient Navigator / Trainer to join our team, focusing on imaging and Hereditary Cancer Testing. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our partner clinical teams and train our Patient Navigators to educate patients about the benefits of genetic testing and early detection.
Key Responsibilities:
Empower Healthcare Providers: Champion our cutting-edge precision diagnostics services! Train and support Patient Navigators in effectively communicating our diagnostic offerings to patients.
Clinical Training: Provide remote and onsite education and clinical support to Patient Navigators, ensuring they are well-equipped to assist patients.
Support and Guidance: Address frequently asked questions from Patient Navigators regarding logistics and clinical matters.
Travel Flexibility: Be prepared to travel for work up to 50% of the time.
Act as Navigator: Step in as a Navigator when others are out of the office, which may be 10-20% of the time.
Medical Support: Answer medical questions, address medical issues, and assess risk for genetic and genomic testing.
Discuss Results: Provide guidance on test results and appropriate clinical actions.
Training Management: Maintain training rooms in excellent condition, including setup and teardown of equipment, and serve as Course Director or secondary instructor as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with patient counseling.
Experience training entry-level healthcare administrators (a plus).
Knowledge of HIPAA laws (a plus).
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
Ability to travel 50% or more of the time.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in genetics or imaging.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
