This award winning and highly respected hospital in the greater Chicago area is actively searching for a Perioperative Services Nurse Manager to oversee a fast paced surgical services unit. The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will report to and collaborate closely with the OR Nurse Director in the development of staff, performance improvement, and fiscal accountability. Responsibilities also include day-to-day operations of 20+ operating rooms to accommodate hybrid and robotic procedures, the opportunity to interview and hire staff with the collaboration of the HR Department, as well as providing the standard for quality of care and clinical practice among staff.

This opportunity offers the RN Manager Surgical Services the chance to work alongside world-class surgeons using advanced technology and exceptional medical expertise to perform a wide range of operative procedures in a number of specialties. Along with the administrative duties, the RN Manager Surgical Services will also identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the department, and assure that all patient care issues are addressed efficiently and appropriately. 

Additional responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Surgical include developing, reviewing, and revising clinical policies and procedures, providing for the development of the staffing schedule including forecasting scheduling deficits and implementing corrective action as needed, and monitoring and managing budget activity. You will also have the opportunity to coach, counsel, and mentor the various operating room charge nurses and OR RN staff reporting to you. Candidates with their CNOR Certification and operating room nursing leadership experience will gain quick interviews.
