Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) & Med Surg
Shift: 7P - 7A (12 Hour Nights) (36 Hour Guarantee)
Duration: 9 Weeks
Location: Alpena, MI, 49707

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with specialties in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med Surg to join our team for a 9-week assignment. This role involves delivering holistic nursing care, assessing patient health needs, and maintaining accurate medical records. The RN will also provide guidance and emotional support to patients and their families, while working closely with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment:

  • Assess patient health needs and nursing care requirements for all assigned patients.
  • Direct patient assessments conducted by other nursing staff.

• Care Planning:

  • Plan and coordinate care for assigned patients.
  • Direct the care planning process led by other nursing staff.

• Nursing Implementation:

  • Implement nursing actions according to established standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate competence in caring for neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Evaluation:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans to ensure responsible care is delivered to patients.

• Self-Management:

  • Hold self accountable for delivering responsible care.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Assume responsibility for ongoing professional development and contribute to the development of other staff members.

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of nursing experience in PCU/Med Surg (Required)
  • Experience with floating between units (Required)
  • Epic experience (Highly Preferred)
  • Prior travel nursing experience (Preferred)

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • MI LARA License
  • BLS, ACLS (AHA)
