Public Health Nutritionist
Your Specific Responsibilities:
The incumbent, a Public Health Nutritionist, is an employee of the Florida Department of Health in DeSoto County, representing the agency and its mission and values. The incumbent is part of the organization and is expected to promote cooperation, courtesy, and teamwork in a diverse environment. The position is under the direct supervision of the Senior Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor. The Public Health Nutritionist position will work directly with Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clients in Desoto County.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Qualifications:
Minimum - Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver License or the ability to obtain one prior to hire. Incumbent must possess a bachelor’s or master’s in Nutrition Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist License or the ability to obtain one prior to hire.
Preferred – The minimum qualifications and direct work experience.
