Job Description

As a Restaurant Server at Maumee Bay Lodge, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. Your main responsibility will be to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure customer satisfaction. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Shifts may include weekdays or weekends starting at 7am. The Water's Edge closes daily at 2pm and reopens at 5pm - 9pm for dinner service. Hours may change during winter months. Must be able to carry trays when serving meals. Requires lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and standing for long periods. Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take food and drink orders and relay them accurately to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages to guests.
• Ensure timely delivery of orders and check on guests to ensure their satisfaction.
• Bus tables in section in the absence of a busser.
• Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Handle payment transactions and provide accurate change if needed.

Requirements:

• Preferably 18 or older by start date
• Possess some prior experience as a server in a restaurant or similar establishment is preferred.
• Available weekends & holidays along with either days or nights depending on availability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and provide support to colleagues when needed.
• Ability to handle high-stress situations and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with the menu and ability to make recommendations to guests.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must possess a friendly and positive attitude.
