This is an excellent, full-time role with Speridian Technolgies for our client, the State of Hawaii. We are working on enhancing a Medicaid Eligibility Systems. These systems undergo enhancements, and the new features would typically require training. Speridian's responsibility is limited to train-the-trainer and other responsibilities mentioned in the job description below.
We are seeking an immediate start date, and it's slated to run through Feb 2027 with up to six-year extensions.
The role is remote; however, you'd need to work HST for key meetings. There would also be travel a few times a year to Hawaii. Seeking candidates on the West Coast of the US or in Hawaii.
Job description:
Seeking an IT trainer with at least Five (5) years of experience with training on technical solutions on mid-size projects. The candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities-
Training Development: Create and maintain training materials by collaborating with the Functional team that includes building manuals, online courses, and interactive content, tailored to various skill levels and learning styles.
Instruction: Conduct engaging train-the-trainer sessions for State and Vendor employees on the System Enhancements
Needs Assessment: Work with the client’s training office to identify training needs and customize programs to address specific challenges and goals.
Support: Provide one-on-one or group support to employees, addressing any questions or issues that arise during and after training sessions.
Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for improvements.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant progress, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT training, technical support, or a related field, with a proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in various IT systems, software applications, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools is advantageous.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in an understandable and engaging manner.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, motivate learners, and manage diverse groups of participants.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing training challenges and improving program effectiveness.
