We are seeking a Sr. Category Manager with procurement experience to source Employee Relations products and services for Fulfillment Center Operations as well as Corporate needs Globally. The person in this role will coordinate with several teams across Amazon and will interact with our most important suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements.

The position will support, align, and partner with multiple teams (On Site Personnel, Central Engagement teams; People Experience, Central HR, Driver Experience, and Central supporting teams such as Finance and Legal) to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, ensure business continuity, deliver savings/value, and improve stakeholder experience across the category.

In this role you will be able to shape the future of Employee Relations Supplies not only in North America, but Globally.


This role can be located in Seattle/Bellevue, WA, Irvine/ San Francisco/San Jose, CA, Tempe, AZ, Nashville, TN, Austin/Houston, TX, Arlington, VA or Washington DC.

Key job responsibilities
- Identify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership
- Develop inventory strategies within a high volume product category
- Drive commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance
- Lead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility
- Coordinate and collaborate with global/local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategies
- Influence suppliers’ roadmaps, design, processes, technology decisions and strategies
- Lead complex and cross-functional projects productivity, sustainability and innovations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor's degree
