Position Overview: As a Bilingual Student Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting our noncredit students in navigating their academic journey. If you are fluent in one of the following languages - Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, or another language commonly spoken by our student population - we invite you to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist noncredit students with onboarding, registration, and campus navigation.
Serve as a liaison to connect students with various campus resources and programs.
Provide translation support, both written and verbal, as needed.
Respond promptly and professionally to student inquiries via email and phone.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
Additional Information:
Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.00 per hour.
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to be determined.
Work Environment: On-site only.
Employment Type: Short-term, temporary, hourly position, not to exceed 160 days per fiscal year.
Qualifications:
Fluency in one of the specified languages is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in student support or customer service is preferred.
