Wound Care Nurse
Location: Brooklyn NY
Job Type: Full-time
We are looking for a experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join an SNF in Brooklyn, NY.
Position Overview:
As a Wound Care Nurse you will play a crucial role in the well-being and recovery of our patients. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the wound care needs of patients under your care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound management, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough wound assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer and monitor advanced wound care treatments, including but not limited to wound vacs, dressings, and debridement procedures.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and progress made.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily routines.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY.
  • Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Salary:
$110,000 - $120,000
